Bada Akintunde-Johnson finally leaves SO&U after years of service as the Creative Head behind several award winning campaigns and Ads that took millennials by storm. He announced this on his social media page:
“All good things come to an end, sadly. After six glorious years, I announce my exit from the place I have called home in pursuit of new challenges, growth opportunities and new territories to conquer.
From walking in as a Deputy Creative Director, working on the Guinness account, writing memorable campaigns such as Fly with the Eagles, Made of more, and The colourful world of more, winning a fair bit of awards along the way to becoming Creative Director Glo, running by far the busiest account I know of in the country, running a campaign almost every other week, constantly shooting commercials both within and outside Nigeria, keeping the account for a record period and winning multiple awards locally and internationally, I have to say it’s been six years very well spent. I have thoroughly enjoyed myself and grown in leaps and bounds.
I am always proud to be tagged on those great reviews, posts and comments about the Creativity of Glo adverts and would have loved to keep that going lool but let it be known that from last Friday I ceased to be Creative Director for the brand. My race on that track is run and it’s on to the next one.
Glory to God for great chapters closed and for brand new beginnings. Selah!”
We at #MillennialsOfLagos congratulate him and wish him the best in the next phase of his career.
